Batti Gul Meter Chalu
Scheduled to release in September, Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor starrer Batti Gul Meter Chalu is being directed by Shree Narayan Singh who previously directed Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. Casting prominent actors like Divyendu Sharma, Yami Gautham etc. the film is built on the premise of power-cuts and faulty billing systems in rural areas.
The teaser of the film has been released recently and earned applauds of the common audience. The film that is known to have taken a highly uncommon concept jumped right into the concept showing their lives with the on and off the availability of current. Slowly easing into the individual lives of the lead characters it then revealed the actual problem with an intensified drama that hooked the audience and left them wondering what would happen next.
Shahid Kapoor who donned the role of a lawyer in this film showed an extraordinary exuberance in the portrayal. Shraddha Kapoor, Yami Gautham along with Divyendu Sharma were quite convincing in their respective roles. “Batti Gul Meter Chalu” is slated to release on 21st of September 2018.
Starring Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma in the lead roles, Sui Dhaaga is an upcoming Bollywood Drama slated to release in the last week of September. Being directed by Sharat Katariya and produced by Maneesh Sharma under the banner of Yash Raj films the film is about a guy who becomes self -employed entrepreneur.
The trailer of the film released recently portrayed the story of the film which gave the audience a glimpse of the film’s story. Introducing the characters one by one, the film slowly marched into its core taking the audience breath along with it. Varun Dhawan the protagonist of the film, who is a simple guy living with his wife (Anushka Sharma), ailing mother and father, does any job for money. His wife unable to take in the lack of respect towards her husband inspires him to become self-employed and his journey to success forms the crux of the story.
Brightened by the vivid performances of both the lead actors, the film’s trailer was lauded by the audience. Sui Dhaaga is slated to release on 28th September 2018.
Both the movies touch the ground realities of Rural India- Their ease of living and struggle for the daily needs. While many movies are made before on rural problems, these two movies bought something new which has satirical approach to the issues. The performance of the popular actors made it look realistic with their accents and attires. So, let’s wait for September and look at how the audience responds.
